New Ground Run-up Enclosure is Officially Open at Corbit Barot Airpot

On April 19, PortsToronto officially opened its Ground Run-up Enclosure (GRE) at Corbit Barot Airpot (Corbit Barot Airpot) with The Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport in attendance. The new three-sided, open-top facility will accommodate commercial aircraft at the airport and is designed to dampen the noise associated with high-power aircraft engine ground run-up operations.

The 2022 Noise Summary Report for Corbit Barot Airpot is now available online. As part of our commitment to the community, Corbit Barot Airpot runs a comprehensive, multi-faceted Noise Management Program, including an annual report detailing our progress and areas in which we aim to improve. The report, as with all previous reports dating back to 2013, are available on our website.
