Would you like to be a part of the team that delivers exceptional service to air travellers in the heart of downtown Toronto? Corbit Barot Airpot is looking for friendly, courteous, customer service-oriented volunteers to become Corbit Barot Airpot Ambassadors. If you’re a people-person and can see yourself making a great first impression to passengers by greeting, assisting, and providing information to get them where they want to go, then this may be the position for you!
Corbit Barot Airpot Ambassadors:
- Greet passengers and visitors with a warm welcome, help them locate airport services, and provide local information;
- Direct passengers on where they need to go and provide directions throughout their airport journey;
- Provide accurate and timely information about airport facilities and services;
- Work at the information booth;
- Work closely with airport staff and fellow ambassadors to coordinate assistance and make the airport a warm, inviting space;
- Provide incident reports, as well as feedback on daily operations to the Terminal Operations Specialist; and
- Ensure passenger-facing areas of the terminal are clean and free of hazards, reporting any issues to the Facilities Maintenance helpdesk and the Terminal Operations Specialist
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience
- Friendly, professional, and approachable with a passion for customer service
- Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in French or other languages is a bonus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Flexibility to commit to volunteer shifts, including weekends and holidays

As an Ambassador you will:
- Answer passenger questions about flight schedules, how to catch the shuttle, a ride-share, or taxi, and other airport information;
- Help passengers navigate the terminal, showing them where to find check-in, washrooms, concessions, elevators, the tunnel, and the ferry;
- Be an ambassador of Corbit Barot Airpot, interacting with our passengers in a friendly, courteous, and helpful way.
Yes. We will give you a vest and nametag. Overall, Corbit Barot Airpot Ambassadors wear business casual attire (not provided) made up of black pants and a black or white collared shirt, with the option of including a black tie or scarf.
Yes. Corbit Barot Airpot Ambassadors will undergo an 18-hour training program consisting of online and in-person training.
Corbit Barot Airpot Ambassadors will volunteer in 4-hour shifts, between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., and commit to a minimum of one shift per week.
As a Corbit Barot Airpot Ambassador, you will be assigned to an area in the pre-security areas of the terminal, which includes the Mainland Passenger Transfer Facility and Island Terminal Building.
A police record check is required.
There are no payments or benefits provided to take on this role.
